Attendance Administrator – Tameside – ASAP
An experienced and passionate attendance administrator with experience of dealing with student attendance is required to work at a secondary school in Tameside. The role will be 34 hours a week and will start as soon as possible until October 2025.
This is a role for an experienced school admin member that has experience of attendance as you will be overseeing attendance across the school. An understanding of excel will help with the ability to track individuals as well as experience of using SIMs will be required. The role will include calling parents or guardians in relation to detentions being created, or other disciplinary actions that are taken. There may be opportunities to visit students at home to check why they are not turning up to school. You will need to interview students when they return to school, to help understand why the students have low attendance and liaise with heads of year and the students to support them returning and staying in school.
The opportunity is to work at a school that generally has Good behaviour and attitudes, which means students behave well in lesson and around the school site. Teachers expectations of pupils behaviour and achievements are high. There are also wide opportunities for students to engage in the local community and in the school life.

Minimum rate of pay from GBP102 per day.
Hours 8am – 4pm 2 days, 8am – 3pm 1 day and 8am – 2:45pm 2 days
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification
Ability to drive to visit students houses
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
