AS/A2 Psychology Teacher – ASAP start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Psychology teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary school in Bolton. You will be responsible for teaching Psychology to AS and A2 students. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking. There may be some general cover as and when required.

The school is a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, M62, M66), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire. Our school boasts a rich history and heritage and is proud of its traditions.

Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active “on call” team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters. All teachers have a Form and this position comes with a lovely Year 12 form.

The position is open to NQT’s/ECT’s and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Psychology Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

– Hold Right to Work in the UK
– Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
– Provide two professional child related references
