Are you a passionate and talented Art specialist looking for an exciting teaching opportunity?

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Art teacher to join our secondary school team in Horsham. This full-time role is set to begin at the end of April and will run until the end of the school year.

Position: Art Specialist (Full-time) Location: Secondary School, Horsham Start Date: End of April 2025 End Date: End of the school year (July 2025)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons to students across various year groups.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess creative and engaging Art curriculums.
  • Foster a positive and inspiring learning environment.
  • Support students in developing their artistic skills and creativity.
  • Collaborate with other departments and staff to enhance the students’ educational experience.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting.
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Art techniques, principles, and the secondary school curriculum.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Location – Horsham
  • Position – Teacher/ Cover supervisor
  • Type of work – Art Teaching
  • Contract or position start date – April 2025
  • Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
  • Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temp to Perm
  • Full time/part time – Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay – £90 – £140 per day – Depending on Experience
  • Hours – 8:30 – 16.00

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • GCSE’s or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year working with children
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
