Art Teacher

Art Teacher – Full-Time | Specialist School | QTS Required | PERM | Pay dependant on experience

A specialist school in South East London is seeking a creative and dedicated Art Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. The role involves teaching Art across KS3 and KS4 to pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

• Autism (ASC)

• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

• Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)

• Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential

• Experience teaching Art at secondary level – OR a very artistic background

• Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive practice

• Creative, adaptable, and patient teaching approach

• DBS on the update service or willing to apply

The Role Includes:

• Delivering engaging, differentiated Art lessons

• Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

• Collaborating with support staff and therapists

• Supporting creative expression, confidence, and independence
