Art Teacher

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching are looking for an Art and Design Teacher for a Secondary school in the Ipswich area. This will be an ongoing supply position starting ASAP.

The school is a forward thinking but traditional mainstream Secondary School with a supportive Art department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. The school does have a 6^th form, although most of the timetable for this role will be key stage 3 and key stage 4.

The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location – Ipswich
• Position – Art Teacher / Art and Design Teacher
• Type of work – Art Teacher in a secondary school
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration – 1 term initially with the potential for extension
• Contract or likely end date – December 2022 with the potential for extension
• Contract type – temporary
• Full time/part time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £140 for qualified teachers
• Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm, plus parents evenings and meetings as required

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
