After School Club Assistant – South Ockendon – Full Time

About the position:

We are looking for an after school club assistant to join a primary school in Thurrock. This is an ongoing position starting ASAP.

This position involves looking after the children who attend an after school club until their parent/guardian collects them at the end of the day. You will be engaging with all children, maintaining a safe environment.

Contract details for the After school club Assistant position:

• Location – South Ockendon
• Position – Teaching Assistant, term time only
• Type of work – Teaching Assistant in a primary school
• Start date – ASAP
• Contract type – temporary
• Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
• Full time/part time – Part time (2:30pm-6pm Monday to Friday)
• Minimum rate of pay – £13 per hour

About the successful After school club Assistant:

• You will have a passion for working with children and a can do attitude.
• Previous experience working with children in a similar role is desirable.
• You will be an excellent role model for young people.
• You will be pro active and innovative with the ability to engage children in different ways.

To be eligible the After school club Assistant must have/be:

• At least a GCSE C grade in English and Maths.
• Experience working with children.
• Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
• A positive attitude.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
• The ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new application.
• Minimum of 2 references covering the last 2 years in full.
