Ad Hoc Admin Assistant for Nursery’s and Schools

Location: Brighton and Surrounding areas
Position Type: Ad Hoc/Temporary

About Us:
We are passionate about providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for children to grow, learn, and play. We are looking for a proactive and organized Ad Hoc Admin Assistant to support our team with general administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organization.
  • Support with updating and maintaining children’s records.
  • Help with the preparation of newsletters, notices, and communication to parents.
  • Manage incoming emails and phone calls, directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Support the team with general office duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in an administrative role is desirable, preferably in a childcare or education setting, but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

  • Position – Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work – Support role
  • Contract or position start date – ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
  • Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temp to Perm
  • Full time/part time – Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £13.09 per hour
  • Hours – 8:30 – 17.00

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • GCSE’s or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year working with children
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
