Essential:
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) in Physical Education.
Proven experience in teaching PE, particularly to students with additional learning needs.
Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies, differentiated learning, and behavior management techniques.
Understanding of the various learning needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in a classroom setting.
Desirable:
Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualifications or additional training in teaching children with ALN.
Experience with behavior management programs such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration.
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Previous experience in a similar role within a school or specialist education setting.
