Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) in Physical Education.

  • Proven experience in teaching PE, particularly to students with additional learning needs.

  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies, differentiated learning, and behavior management techniques.

  • Understanding of the various learning needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in a classroom setting.

  • Desirable:

    • Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualifications or additional training in teaching children with ALN.

    • Experience with behavior management programs such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration.

    • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one).

    • Previous experience in a similar role within a school or specialist education setting.

    • Working Conditions:

  • Hours: 8:30- 3:30
    Full-time

  • Salary: £166.32 per day
