Prospero Teaching are currently seeking graduates who are interested in becoming 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work at a vibrant and friendly secondary school.

THE 1:1 TEACHING ASSITANT POSTS INFORMATION:
A popular school located in Edgware are seeking 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the department and assist the teachers and students within the classroom. The ideal Graduate will be a clear communicator, someone dedicated, be a good role model and be passionate about building rapport with students.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO FILL THIS 1:1 TEACHING ASSITANT ROLE:

• degree qualified
• Good GCSE Grades

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

• 8am – 3pm
• Monday – Friday
• Full-time ideally

You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.

WHAT DOES THE 1:1 TEACHING ASSITANT ROLE INVOLVE:

The teaching role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1:1 session, intervention groups and working with other departments. The lessons will have delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key stage 4, and the desire to work with Key Stage 5 is preferable but not essential.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A 1:1 TEACHING ASSISTANT?
As a 1:1 teaching assistant you will be required to support a specific student who requires some support. This is a great opportunity to really build a positive rapport with a secondary age student you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. As a teaching assistant, you’ll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.
