1:1 Teaching Assistant

• Location – Wirral
• Position – 1:1 Teaching Assistant
• Start date – As soon as possible
• Full time/part time – Full time (part-time also available)
• Hours – 8:30 – 15:30

Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a welcoming primary school in the area. The best candidate will have previous experience working with children and be passionate about providing support to students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Individual Support: Work closely with one student to provide personalised attention and help them understand and complete their assignments.
• Adapt Learning Materials: Modify learning resources to fit the student’s individual needs and learning style.
• Progress Monitoring: Track the student’s progress, set goals, and report back to teachers and parents on achievements and areas needing improvement.
• Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining positive behaviour and implementing behaviour management plans.
• Encouragement and Motivation: Keep the student motivated and build their confidence through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
• Assisting with Daily Activities: Help with day-to-day classroom activities, including facilitating their participation in group work.
• Providing Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to help the student grow academically and personally.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience of working with Children.
• 1:1 experience (desirable)
• Previous experience supporting people with additional needs.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide minimum of two professional references.
