About the Part-Time 1:1 ESOL Tutor position:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced ESOL teacher to work 1:1 with a students based in Cambridge.

• We are looking for a experienced ESOL tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with a students who are UASC (Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children).
• This is a part time role where the successful candidate will be required to work with the student for 2-3 hours per day for 5 days per week (Mon-Fri).
• You will be teaching the student in either their own home or a community setting, possibly the local library.
• If the successful candidate is looking for full time hours there is the potential to take on a second student.
• The position is to start ASAP.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications of the ESOL Tutor:

• Should ideally hold an EAL qualification and MUST have previous relevant experience
• Up to date safeguarding training or willing to complete Prospero’s online course

To be eligible for this role, the potential ESOL Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references that cover the past 2 years
