Teaching Assistant – Blandford Forum

Prospero Teaching are looking for a 1-1 Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to work with a child in year 6. The school is local to Blandford and the position will be mornings only.

We are looking for someone who can provide consistency, patience and creativity, along with a resilient nature.

Due to the nature of the role, you will have experience dealing with SEN needs on a 1-1 basis.

Contracts/Positions Details

  • Location: Blandford Forum
  • Position- 1-1 Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work- Part-Time
  • Contract – Temp
  • Start Date- ASAP
  • End Date – N/A
  • Duration – Ongoing
  • Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £40-£50 a day
  • Hours- 09:00 – 12:00

Your responsibilities will include;

  • 1-1 support – activities, organisation, engagement, behaviour, emotional support
  • Working with the child on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Support in sessions
  • Keeping progress reports

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Teaching Assistant qualification (preferable but not essential)
  • Previous experience working in a UK School or SEN setting.
  • Experience working with children in education or in a similar setting.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training can be provided)

To be Eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
