World Teachers' Day Awards

Celebrating Teachers UK-wide

World Teachers' Day Awards

Yesterday, October 5th, was World Teachers’ Day – a moment to celebrate the dedication and achievements of our amazing education staff across the country. Join us in recognising and thanking the teachers who inspire and make a difference every day

World Teachers’ Day is a chance to celebrate the dedication, passion, and care shown by teachers across the UK. Every day, they inspire young minds, nurture confidence, and spark a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Teachers give so much of themselves to support their pupils and communities, often going above and beyond. Today, we say thank you for the difference they make in the lives of children and families everywhere.

Teaching Recognition Awards 2025

This year, we received hundreds of votes from across the UK, and after much consideration, we’re proud to announce our top 5 regional winners.

Mea C Nominated by our Manchester Team
"Mea initially worked on day-to-day supply with Prospero before securing a long-term contract as a teacher. She has made such a strong impression that she has now been offered a permanent contract with the school, due to begin in December. The feedback we’ve consistently received about her has been nothing short of excellent. Despite being an ECT and relatively new in her teaching career, she has demonstrated a level of skill, maturity, and professionalism well beyond her experience. She has embraced every challenge, delivered high-quality teaching, and built positive, trusting relationships with both her pupils and colleagues. In addition to her teaching abilities, Mea’s reliability has been outstanding—she has never had a sick day during her time with Prospero, which is a real testament to her dedication, resilience, and passion for what she does. I also want to highlight her response during the horrendous attack that took place recently, which was just two miles from the school. Under incredibly frightening circumstances, Mea remained calm, followed instructions precisely, and played a vital role in ensuring the children’s safety during the lockdown process. For a teacher so early in her career to handle such a situation with composure and responsibility speaks volumes about her capability. I truly believe this recognition would not only be well deserved, but also a fitting way to acknowledge her strength and dedication after such a challenging day." - Ebony Neville, Senior Primary Recruitment Consultant at Prospero Teaching
Kieron P Nominated by our Bristol Secondary Team
"I've nominated him as he’s been an absolute gem to work with the last 2 years. He has picked up 3 long terms and always done exceptionally – loyal to the core. Stays on where asked to no questions asked and is willing to travel – his current position is 45 miles each way, trooper!" - Chris Blake, Senior Manager at Prospero Teaching
Jack M Nominated by our Bristol Primary Team
"Jack is secondary school trained but has successfully made the transition to primary. Every single school he goes to, without fail, comment how brilliant Jack is. He is everything I look for as a recruitment consultant. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Jack. He is reliable, is comfortable teaching any year group and is an extremely good teacher." - Sian Oliver, Business Development Manager, Primary Team at Prospero Teaching
Sandra W Nominated by our Leeds Team
"She has been nothing but a shining light for Prospero gaining praise in all her positions for us. Her current school has commented on her, hard work, strong relationships built with staff and pupils alike." - Steven Hall, Associate Director at Prospero Teaching
Paul C Nominated by our Cardiff team
"Absolute hero, has worked for Prospero for years and always performs well whatever school. Last school year we had a couple of schools fighting over him!" - Luke Rose, Education Team Manager at Prospero Teaching
