Celebrating Teaching Assistants UK-wide

National Teaching Assistants Day Awards

Today is National Teaching Assistants’ Day and is a chance to celebrate the efforts and achievements of our incredible support staff up and down the country. Join us as we recognise and thank TAs who make a difference every single day.

National Teaching Assistants’ Day is an annual celebration dedicated to recognising the incredible work of Teaching Assistants across the UK. This year’s theme is Read Together, Grow Together – TAs Making Every Page Count”, highlighting the vital role TAs play in supporting literacy and inspiring a love of learning in children.

Teaching Assistants work tirelessly to support teachers, nurture pupils, and strengthen school communities. Their dedication often goes above and beyond, making a lasting difference in the lives of students and families.

Yuwen is professional, consistently reliable and hardworking and has a warm and welcoming nature. She is a shining example of what a Teaching Assistant should be!" - Ashley Fortune, Associate Director at Prospero Teaching

Evelyn has worked for Prospero for over 4 years and always received great feedback, gets asked back to schools and is a great asset to us at Prospero, always smiling happy to go the extra mile (literally). - Tom Halliday, Associate Director (Primary) at Prospero Teaching
Emma F Nominated by our Bristol team
"Personally I would nominate Emma. Shes in a long term placement with us at the moment and they have told me she is doing really well and fits into their ethos perfectly. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she makes a real difference to the 1:1 she works with. She also gets on well with other staff members and is a real team player! The perfect TA. - Sian IOliver, Business Development Manager at Prospero Teaching
Louis B Nominated by our South Coast team
"For me being a TA gives me to opportunity to try and support a teacher in creating a positive and effective learning environment for as many students as possible. Whether that is by working 1 on 1 with a student that needs additional support, or by generally supporting the class with engagement and reminders." - Louis B
Jack K Nominated by our South Coast team
"Jack has been working at the school through Prospero since February and is now going permanent at the school’s primary site. He was initially told earlier in the year he wouldn’t be going permanent, even after that he kept turning up, been very reliable and kept supporting students! His hard work paid off and is now going perm." - Louis Harris, Team Manager at Prospero Teaching Southampton
