World Book Day is one of the most exciting days in the school calendar, bringing together teachers, students, and book lovers to celebrate the magic of reading. From dressing up as beloved characters to creating inspiring book displays, it’s a day that encourages imagination, literacy, and the joy of storytelling.
This year, we launched our World Book Day Photo Competition, and we have been blown away by the creativity and enthusiasm of everyone who entered. We received so many fantastic submissions, making it incredibly difficult to narrow it down – but after much deliberation, we are delighted to reveal our shortlist!
Victoria
Victoria embraced the spirit of World Book Day with the family! Working as an administrator at her boys’ school, she joined in on the fun by dressing up as Eeyore, a Robber, and a Roman Soldier – a truly bookish family effort!
Kellie
Kellie stepped into the pages of Paul McGee’s inspiring book on confidence and motivation by portraying Sumo. A fantastic choice that brings a powerful message to life!
Jess & Tilly
Four-year-old Tilly stole our hearts by dressing up as Trevor from the Super Happy Magic Forest series by Matty Long. A wonderful nod to an imaginative and colourful story world!
Kimberley
Kimberley brought Broadway to World Book Day with her Elphaba from Wicked costume. A spellbinding choice that truly captures the magic of storytelling!
Nic & Rocco
Nic put her crafting skills to the test with a handmade Tin Man/Lion costume for her five-year-old, Rocco. A stunning combination of creativity and classic literature!
A huge congratulations to everyone who made it onto our shortlist – and a big thank you to all who entered! The talent, effort, and enthusiasm we’ve seen have made this competition truly special.
Now for the exciting part – our three winners will be revealed soon! We’ll be announcing them on our social media channels, so make sure you’re following us to see who takes home the prizes worth up to £50!
