Prospero are proud to have been rated as ‘Outstanding’ and recognised for a 2nd consecutive year as one of Times’ ‘100 Best Companies To Work for in 2021’, and ranked as a sector leader as one the best Education recruitment and Health and Social Care recruitment agencies to work for in England.
What did Prospero do to be recognised?
It was our staff who gave us this ranking so a big thank you. Prospero did work hard to provide support, care, protect and safeguard jobs, and to support internal staff and supply staff. This independent study asked our staff about how they feel about working at Prospero, their managers, their team, and the leaders of the business.
Wellbeing is always important, but especially during lockdown
Our Wellbeing Committee (with regional ambassadors in each office) was set up in 2019, but really worked hard together over the last year with initiatives that connect everyone, with fun activities but also counselling and support services. It’s been wonderful to see everyone support each other during such challenging times. Keeping staff engaged when working at home with fun stuff, games and quizzes, and regular online meetings ensured lines of communication kept motivation and direction. We wanted everyone to feel involved and no one to feel left out.
Giving Back to those in need, the community, and our customers
Thousands of educators and supply staff accessed our free accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to help Prospero supply staff with the wider teaching profession feel they can move forwards even during the lockdown stand still. Schools directed their staff to our free courses.
We continued our company focus on giving back to the community and have a partnership with the children’s cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK, raising nearly £30,00 over the years and continuing through lockdown with initiatives like our silent auction. A significant hardship fund for educators was set up when schools closed and directors relentlessly lobbied umbrella companies to address educators furlough schemes, speak to those who needed help individually.
