Meeting Kiwi Teachers Considering OE

July 27, 2017

With the recent torrential rain and snow, Gabby and I were pretty excited and relieved to be departing the shores of the South Island and heading for the sunny North Island meeting Kiwi Teachers.

We had an absolutely fantastic couple of days travelling around Wellington and Palmerston North, meeting Kiwi teachers, visiting universities and attending the career fair at Victoria University. But it wasn’t all work; somehow(!) we managed to fit in visits to amazing cafes, enjoyed a pint of the local craft beer and did some very cheap shopping – window shopping!

A big thank you to university staff and students for having and welcoming us. We had a great time meeting loads of teachers, from newly graduated to highly experienced ones all looking to kick start their OE.

It was wonderful to have a chance to speak to Early Years, Primary, Secondary and SEN teachers about the teaching opportunities Prospero has in the UK and UAE, as well as our sponsorship opportunities for teachers over 31.

We look forward to returning later this year for a celebration and welcome home/catch up for our returning teachers from the UK, as well as our teachers who are setting off on their overseas teaching journey.
