SEMH Tutor Required – 1:1 Support (19-Year-Old Learner)

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and resilient Tutor to support a 19-year-old learner with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis.

The learner presents with complex emotional difficulties, alongside needs in cognition and learning, language and communication, sensory and physical processing, social skills, and emotional regulation. A consistent, patient, and structured approach will be key to supporting engagement and progress.

• Location: Basingstoke
• Hours: 10 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Type: 1:1 Tutoring

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support and help a young adult build confidence, independence, and re-engagement with learning.

Requirements

• Experience working with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and complex emotional needs
• Understanding of additional needs including cognition, communication, and sensory differences
• Strong skills in supporting emotional regulation and engagement
• Patient, calm, and adaptable approach
• Ability to build trust and positive working relationships
• Experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
