Graduate Learning Mentor

We are specifically working with a large secondary school in Bolton, who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding Teaching Assistant, for a long-term position in their SEN Team. This particular role is to support the needs of young people with ASC, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quite quickly. To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient and overall, have a good sense of humour.

This post is to start in September 2022 and you will be attached specifically to three Year 7 students as they settle into their new school

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location – Bolton, Lancashire
  • Position – Graduate Learning Mentor
  • Type of work – Teaching Support
  • Start date – September 2022
  • Duration / Likely Duration – January 2022 in the first instance
  • End date (if applicable) – January 2022, subject to review
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Full time/part time – Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £75 per day
  • Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree educated with a good classification
  • Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
