Prospero Teaching is looking for a Subject Lead of Physics to join an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Islington on a full-time basis starting SEPTEMBER 2022.
The school is large, mixed, faith, secondary school located in Barnet and offers parking and is well located within good transport links.
The school is fully inclusive and promotes excellence in learning, seeking to ensure that all students are the best that they can be; their dedicated staff are focused on quality and achievement whilst ensuring the happiness and well-being of the community.
The school is seeking an outstanding teacher and Subject Lead of Physics to lead Physics’ within this Ofsted Outstanding secondary school as this is a very popular subject at A Level.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE SUBJECT LEAD OF PHYSICS ROLE:
Job Title – Subject Leader – Physics
Responsible to – Director of Learning Science
Responsible for – Teaching students and managing staff – Physics subject area
Teaching Science and Physics to ensure all students are taught and make progress and develop their skills, subject knowledge and understanding of Physics. As Subject Lead of Physics you will need to lead and coordinate with teaching staff, parents, SLT members and other people to ensure the right education is delivered. You will also support the Director or Learning for Science within framework of national, local and school policies.
SUBJECT LEAD PHYSICS WILL NEED TO BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Full time/part-time – Full time, 5 days a week
Minimum rate – inline with your payscale + a TLr
Hours – 8 am – 4pm, plus parents’ evenings
Transport – parking onsite with a range of public transport options
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS – SUBJECT LEADER OF PHYSICS
BEd / PGCE/ QTS or equivalent teaching degree
Solid teaching background specialising in Physics
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SUBJECT LEADER OF PHYSICS JOB THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold right to work in the UK
Be able to work a minimum of 5 FULL days Monday – Friday
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
