Prospero West Yorkshire are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate functional skills SEND Teacher, to join an SEN school based in Harrogate. It is a full time, long-term role, with the potential of a permanent contract, paying up to £180 a day on PAYE.

This Special School is looking for a SEND Teacher who can look after a class of 3 to 7 SEN students. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will work with the Teaching Assistants on the delivery of subjects and curriculum.

The role itself will involve supporting several children with profound and multiple learning difficulties helping with the delivery of their curriculum.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location – York
  • Position – SEN Teacher
  • Subject – English / PSHE / Food Tech / Art – All Functional skills
  • Start date – ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing / Permanent
  • End date (if applicable) – N/A
  • Full time/part time – Full Time
  • Minimum rate of pay – Minimum rate £110 per day on PAYE.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references

Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy. The successful candidate will be required to register with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Ideally you will already have a full DBS on the update service but if not , we can process a new one.
