About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Huddersfield. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential.
You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to provide tailored assistance that meets the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEND.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and smallsupport for pupils with SEN, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and speech & language needs.
Assist the class teacher with planning, delivering, and adapting learning activities.
Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, social development, and behaviour.
Help implement personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

About You

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, care, or community settings welcome).
Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a genuine desire to support pupil development.
Confident using initiative and adapting to the needs of individuals.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 TA, childcare, psychology, or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
