Prospero teaching is currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student in a vibrant and friendly secondary school college located in Enfield, London.

The ideal Learning Support Assistant with SEN experience have experience supporting students with special educational needs in a mainstream setting. The role will require the right candidate to be a clear communicator, dedicated, someone, who can work with sensitive information and be passionate about building rapport with students. This role could lead you into a career within education, teaching, educational psychology or a range of other avenues.

As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero and allocated a line manager in the school, guidance, and support if offered by the consultant at Prospero and also from the school. Training and CPD sessions are also offered. Resources at the school are fantastic; all departments are well resourced, have a supportive team and are keen to secure someone to essentially support them.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will be required to support one student on a 1:1 basis but can assist with the wider classroom. The SENCO at this secondary school will provide you with training and guidance.

SEN Teaching Assistant hours and pay

You will be required to work 5 full days a week between the hours of 8.20am and 3.30pm, Monday – Friday.

Pay is paid on a daily rate at £90 per day.
