SEN Teaching Assistant – Ipswich – Start Date ASAP

Prospero Teaching are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Ipswich, starting ASAP. This full‑time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs and helping them access learning in a safe, structured environment.

The school is looking for a calm, proactive practitioner with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location – Ipswich

• Position – SEN Teaching Assistant

• Type of work – Supporting pupils within an SEN school

• Start date – ASAP

• Duration – Ongoing / Long‑term

• Full time/part‑time – Full time

• Minimum rate of pay – £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school‑based or transferable)

• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

• Provide two professional child‑related references
