SEN Teaching Assistant

I am currently working with an Ofsted ”Good” secondary school based in the Hertfordshire, Broxbourne. They are currently in need of an experienced 1:1 Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant that has experience with special needs or is happy to work with a young female student with special needs. The young student has complex needs (the school will explain this to you) as well as being visually impaired.

SEN TA (1:1):

• The position is open to SEN TA’s that have experience in both primary or secondary as they are transferable skills.
  * You will be joining a successful school that can provide multiple opportunities and an opportunity to turn permanent.

  * You’ll be working with a young female student on a 1:1 basis (specific needs will be confirmed at a later point)
  * The school is located in well-served location for transport and there is parking on-site.

  SEN TA (1:1) :

Location: Hertfordshire – Broxbourne
Position: SEN TA (1:1)
Type of work : Supporting the designated student with complex needs and visual impairment. You will also have to assist the young female student to the toilet, but you will not be doing any actual personal care and you will support and assist during physio sessions.
Contract or position starting date: September 1^st
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary – you can apply for the permanent role should you be interested once appointed.

Full time/part time: Full time ONLY
Minimum rate of pay: £105 – £115 per day depending on experience
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Learning Support Assistant, Training & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (Desirable) – not essential
A real passion to get into teaching
Experience working as a teaching assistant / Experience working with a wide range of Special education needs (Desirable but not essential)
Reliable, Punctual and Committed (Essential)
