A specialist SEN school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, and associated behavioural challenges.

The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within the classroom, helping pupils access learning and achieve their potential.

Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will help implement personalised interventions, support emotional wellbeing, and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will become a key player in a dynamic and forward-thinking support team, under the guidance of experienced leadership at this Burnley SEN school. You will work to EHCPs as an SEN Teaching Assistant, identifying and removing barriers to learning, and tailoring your approach to the specific needs of each child.
