Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: East Ham

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday – Friday

We’re currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to start immediately at a mainstream secondary school, supporting their students in either the mainstream classroom or the Resource Provision (RP).

You’ll be working with students with severe and complex needs, including:

  • Non-verbal & speech & language support
  • Wheelchair users
  • Autism with high sensory needs or emotional regulation challenges
  • Use of AAC (PECS, Makaton, communication boards, voice-output devices)
  • Highly differentiated learning, sensory-based or life-skills focused

This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact in young people’s lives every single day. Prior experience is desirable due to the needs of the students.
