SEN TEACHER FOR PRU UNIT IN BRIDGWATER

SEN TEACHER

Prospero Teaching is looking for a specialist SEN Teacher to work within a PRU school in BRIDGWATER, which caters for children with a variety of special needs and children with challenging behaviour.

We are looking for someone with considerable experience teaching in SEN schools. The opportunity is on an ongoing basis following completion of a successful trial period at the school. The successful applicant will have experience with children with special educational needs and challenging behaviour and will have hold relevant Teacher and SEND qualifications and training.

VACANCY DETAILS:

• Location: Bridgwater
• Position: SEN Teacher
• Contract: Temp to perm
• Hours:Full-time – 8:15 – 3:30 Monday to Friday
• Start Date: September 2022
• Pay Rate:£100- £145 per day

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a SEN school
• QTS/PGCE or equivalent
• A high level of understanding about childcare and special educational needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year – Prospero can provide this

ABOUT YOU:

• You must be resilient and have the ability to deescalate challenging behaviour
• Ability to recognise the needs of individuals and deliver the relevant and effective teaching
• Have high expectations for the staff and pupils and ensure these are delivered and achieved

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold QTS or QTLS
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
