Salary: M1-UPS (dependent on experience)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, full school day


Brief description:

Rewarding SEN Teacher role within a specialist resource provision supporting pupils with ASD and EHCPs working at KS2 level, creating an engaging, inclusive and structured learning environment.

This is a high‑performing mainstream secondary school with a dedicated resource provision supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The school promotes inclusion, strong pastoral care and personalised learning pathways. About the role:

You will be based within the school’s specialist resource provision, teaching small groups of students with ASD who typically work at KS2 level and have EHCPs. You will deliver engaging lessons, adapt curriculum materials, and provide structure, routine and clear communication for learners. You will work closely with support staff, therapists and the SEN leadership team to ensure every pupil makes progress socially, emotionally and academically.


We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to:

  • Plan and deliver adapted lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Support pupils with ASD using structured, visual and communication‑based strategies
  • Create a calm, safe and predictable classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and the SENCO
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and professionals

Requirements – The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience working with ASD and complex learning needs
  • Understanding of EHCP targets and differentiated learning
  • Strong behaviour‑support and communication skills
  • QTS or equivalent, ideally with SEN experience
  • A patient, resilient and child‑centred approach
