Pay: GBP95+ per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm

About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) by providing tailored support and encouragement.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials to meet students needs.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive learning environment.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students engage with learning.
Use positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.
Help with personal care and sensory support, where necessary.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Knowledge of autism, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff and parents.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
