Secondary Teacher – Darlington

We are recruiting on behalf of secondary schools across Darlington seeking dedicated and passionate Teachers to support students in KS3, KS4 and KS5 settings. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people, deliver engaging lessons and make a lasting impact on student’s academic progress and personal development.

About the role:

• Teaching students aged 11-19 across KS3, KS4 and KS5, depending on your subject specialism and experience.
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and target setting.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies to support student outcomes.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities where required.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Pay: £180 – £250 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Contract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent
• Start Date: September 2026
• Location: Darlington

Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience teaching within a secondary school setting is essential.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality education.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
• Professional child-related references covering the last two years.
