Science Teacher is required for September 2026 to join a ‘Good’ secondary school based in Luton.

I’m seeking a Science Teacher who can join a thriving and supportive secondary school in Luton. This position is starting in September 2026 and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. The ideal Science Teacher will be committed, enthusiastic and versatile, joining a successful and well-established Science department.

You will be required to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. This medium-sized secondary school boasts outstanding facilities and a welcoming, collaborative environment.

SCIENCE TEACHING INFORMATION:

  • The position is open to both ECTs and experienced Science Teachers.
  • You will be joining a successful, well-structured Science department.

Position: Science Teacher

Start date: September 2026
Contract type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Full Time Only
Salary: Pay to Scale (MPS/UPS)
Working hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm/4:00pm, plus parents’ evenings


SCIENCE TEACHER EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS or equivalent
  • PGCE / SCITT / Teach First
  • Science-related degree
  • Ability to teach Science across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Strong classroom management and a passion for delivering outstanding Science lessons
