Music is a highly regarded and valued subject within this school and the team feels that Music can support learning in other curriculum areas, including but not limited to listening; discipline; independent study; increasing concentration levels; perseverance; confidence; creativity; respect towards others. Music teachers teach key stage 3 and key stage 4.

MUSIC TEACHER CONTRACT DETAILS:

Location: Tottenham
Position: Music teacher
Type of work: KS3 KS4 Music Teacher
Contract or position starting date: ASAP
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Permanent
Full time/part time: Full time AND Part time
Minimum rate of pay: INLINE WITH YOUR PAYSCALE
Hours: 8am – 4pm, plus parents’ evenings

MUSIC TEACHER JOB:

  • The position is open to both Music ECT/NQT’s and experienced Music teachers.
  • You will be joining a successful, well-structured department.
  • The Music Department boasts a range of state-of-the-art facilities including a range of instruments and music suites.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students teaching and supporting all designated classes in English.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher and Form Tutor.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with opportunities to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the academy’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
  • To play a full part in the life of the academy community, to support its distinctive aims and aspirational ethos and to encourage staff and students to follow this example.

MUSIC TEACHER EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • PGCE
  • Music related degree
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (we can provide you with this training)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS MUSIC TEACHER JOB THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional children related references
