Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday


The Opportunity

A well-established secondary school in Bury is seeking a talented Maths Teacher to join their team. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive department that is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.

The school prides itself on fostering a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop strong mathematical understanding, confidence, and problem-solving abilities.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates)
  • Planning and delivering structured and engaging lessons
  • Tracking pupil progress and using data to support attainment
  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Contributing to the wider Maths department and school life

We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage learners
  • Clear and confident classroom management skills
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach

Essential Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two professional references relating to working with young people
