A medium sized, mixed, Ofsted Good secondary school in Enfield, seeking an English teacher to join team starting SEPTEMBER 2022. The ideal English teacher will be qualified, have a degree related to English and be a passionate educator who can teach English to a high standard.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND ENGLISH TEACHING CONTRACT:
THE RIGHT ENGLISH TEACHER WILL BE:
• Hold a BA and PGCE in English
• Confident with teaching GCSE
• Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
THE SUCCESSFUL ENGLISH TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
• Exceptional English OR Economics degree
• UK classroom teaching experience
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
• A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
• Salary paid to scale – teachers’ pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependent on experience
Behaviour at the school is great, well managed and students value their education. The school provides pastoral responsibilities too staff and a range of CPD sessions. The school does provide education for students of all abilities, also including extracurricular English interventions, in turn creating differentiated and interesting engaging lessons being a very important trait. This acts as a useful method to ensure behaviour stays good. Ofsted commented ‘Behaviour is good, student’s friendly manner and the respect they show to others are because of the good relationships that exist throughout the school.’
