Prospero Teaching are working with an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ primary school in Brixton who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their two-form entry school. The position is long term in the first instance, with the potential to become a permanent appointment.

The school are looking for an SEN learning support assistant to support an autistic child in Year 4. The school are looking for somebody to support him with his learning goals and to ensure he’s progressing.

The school environment is vibrant and diverse. Children’s work is celebrated through high quality displays and all are encouraged to develop understanding in a range of academic and foundation subjects.

As a new member of support staff, you will be welcomed and given access to a range of CPD opportunities. Your day will involve liaising regularly with the class teacher to ensure effective provision.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Position:Learning Support Assistant
• Contract or position start date: Long-term contract, September 2022
• Full time/part time: Full time

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum 1-year experience support children or adults with SEN
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
• Recent DBS
• Satisfactory References

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: 

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
