Position – Health and Social Care Graduate

Are you a kind and calm, health and social care graduate looking to pursue a career in Special, Educational Needs? We are currently working with a specialist SEN provision in Cheadle Hulme looking to recruit Support Assistants to join their welcoming team.

About the School:

We are currently working with a well-established, SEN school supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple learning difficulties.

About the Role:

• Support pupils with PMLD on a one-to-one and small-group basis throughout the school day.
• Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes tailored to individual needs and abilities.
• Promote communication, social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and engagement through a range of evidence-based approaches.
• Support pupils with sensory learning activities and therapeutic interventions.
• Implement strategies recommended by Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other professionals.
• Support pupils with personal care, feeding, mobility, and medical needs where required.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families, and external professionals to support pupil development.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies always.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD
• A recent Health and Social Care qualification
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• References covering the last 24 months
• Hold the write to work in the UK
