We are a national charity supporting disabled children and young adults with complex needs. Based at our specialist campus in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, we provide education, residential support, healthcare and accessible sports to young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team and support our students to learn, develop and become as independent as possible.

About the Role:

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
• Assist pupils in accessing a personalised curriculum tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, while maintaining pupils’ dignity and wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individual education and care plans.
• Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all pupils always.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) or other special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or SEND-related training
• Team Teach training (desired)
• Previous medical experience
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• References covering the last 24 months
