Phonics Intervention Support – Leeds

A good rated primary school based in Leeds are seeking a phonics intervention support worker to take out small groups of Year 1 pupils in school to boost results.

The school are keen for someone who has had Read, Write, Inc. training or experience implementing similar schemes in school.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience supporting teaching and learning or supporting pupils
• Have fantastic knowledge of phonics, particularly using RWI
• Be confident to deliver activities 1 to 1 and a small group basis
• Be an integral part of teaching and learning to support a range of pupils
• Have a DBS on the update service

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking out small groups and individiual Year 1s
• Creating resources and lessons to support learning
• Engaging pupils into their phonics
• Supporting behaviour and emotional support through activities and creating a close relationship with pupils
