Prospero Teaching are working with an Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ Manchester Primary School that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in Nursery for the coming academic year. The position is within a large EYFS staff team and will involve all aspects of working with the children, assessing and reporting progress, and leading activities across the curriculum, indoors and outdoors. You will also be involved in preparing and tidying away resources in the learning environment, and carrying out administrative tasks. You will be required to keep records for children in your key group and provide feedback about the children’s progress to the class teacher. You will also be required to manage behaviour and support children in their social and emotional interactions and development. The focus in the school is on establishing a positive culture for the children, where there are consistently high expectations for all children, in all areas of their development.

The position is to start as soon as possible and is for the full academic year. You must have experience working as a teaching assistant EYFS, and the qualification required is minimum Level 2.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be:

• Experienced within EYFS
• Knowledgeable about the EYFS Curriculum
• A hard-working and enthusiastic person
• Able to provide children with clear boundaries, and be a calm, encouraging presence
• Available long-term

The successful Teaching Assistant will have the following:

• Suitable Teaching Assistant qualification, minimum Level 2
• UK classroom experience
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• References covering the last 2 years
• A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service, or be prepared to process a new one at a cost of £45.80
