Maths Tutor – St Helens

Prospero Teaching are searching for enthusiastic Maths Tutors to provide individualised educational support across St Helens!

The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced teachers and tutors to deliver 1:1 Maths tuition to children and young people who require additional educational support.

Learners may have gaps in their education or need additional help to access their studies.

You’ll be able to plan sessions around each learner’s individual starting point, helping them develop their subject knowledge and become more confident in Maths.

Position Details:

Location: St Helens
Position: Maths Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Strong Maths subject knowledge
Previous teaching or tutoring experience
Experience delivering GCSE or Functional Skills Maths desirable
1:1 tutoring experience advantageous
QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
Flexible and supportive approach to teaching

To be eligible for this role, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
