A popular school located in Haringey, North London is interested in securing a Maths Teacher starting this SEPTEMBER 2022.  The ideal Maths Teacher will be qualified, have a degree related to Maths, knowledge of the National Curriculum. As a teacher, you will be hard-working, a team player, and be someone who engages with students, work well with staff and also parents. The school is interested in appointing a Maths Teacher to join a thriving and dynamic department in SEPTEMBER 2022

The lessons will be delivered to all year groups key stage 3, key stage 4, and experience with key stage 5 is preferable but not essential.

As a new member of staff, you will be given guidance where required in order to ensure you settle in well, the team is very supportive. Resources at the school are fantastic; the department you will be working in is busy and has a blend of NQT’s and experienced Maths teachers which makes for an interesting and unique environment to work in.

Prospero Teaching has a long-standing relationship with the school and has a strong understanding of the makeup of the department, knowledge of the behaviour policy, and so on. Prospero has been asked to recruit a vacancy with us to ensure they appoint the most suitable Maths Teacher available to start SEPTEMBER 2022 to continue the successful teaching delivered to key stage 3, key stage 4. The role also offers the option of being permanent or on a contractual basis depending on the successful Maths Teacher’s needs.

Behaviour at the school is good, although, like most schools, there are a few students in a few of the year groups that have more challenging attitudes towards learning, therefore, you will be confident in demonstrating suitable strategies to ensure the behaviour stays at a manageable standard. The school does provide education for students of all abilities, therefore, creating differentiated and interesting attention-grabbing lessons is a very important trait and will act as a useful method to ensure behaviour stays good.

THE RIGHT MATHS TEACHER WILL BE:
• Hold a BA and PGCE in Maths
• Confident with teaching GCSE Maths
• Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
• Available ASAP

THE SUCCESSFUL MATHS SPECIALIST WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
•Exceptional degree and GCSEs
•UK classroom teaching experience
•Eligibility to work in the UK
•Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
•A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
•Salary paid to scale – teachers’ pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependant on experience
