Maths Teacher

Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist secondary setting in the Grateley area to recruit a qualified and committed Maths Teacher (QTS) for an immediate start. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive environment, teaching pupils who benefit from a more structured and personalised approach to learning.

You will be responsible for delivering Maths across KS3 and KS4, adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils who may require additional support. The focus is on building confidence, developing core numeracy skills, and helping students progress both academically and personally.

This role would suit a teacher who enjoys smaller class sizes, tailored teaching approaches, and making a meaningful impact.

The Role:

• Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons adapted to pupil needs
• Support pupils with confidence, numeracy skills, and progress
• Assess work and track student development
• Maintain a calm and supportive classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
• Experience teaching at secondary level
• Comfortable adapting lessons for pupils with additional needs
• Patient, flexible, and supportive teaching style
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
• Committed to supporting both academic and personal development

Contract Details:

• Position: Maths Teacher (QTS)
• Location: Grateley
• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Full‑time
• Pay Rate: £32,916 – £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
• Key Stages: KS3-KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

• QTS required
• Experience in SEN or specialist settings beneficial
• Safeguarding training can be provided
