KS3 Tutor

We are currently seeking a tutor to support a Year 9 student (C) with Maths and English tuition.

The details are as follows:

• Location: Online (initially)
• Hours: 2 hours per week
• Rate: £25-£30 per hour
• Student: Year 9

The student has recently been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and is currently medically unable to access the mainstream school environment. She is in the early stages of her diagnosis and is now working with a specialist to better understand her energy levels and daily capacity.

At present, C is unable to attend school, as previous attempts have resulted in significant setbacks, including becoming unwell for extended periods. However, she is managing some online learning at home, and online tuition is considered a suitable and manageable approach, as it removes the physical demands of travel and preparation (including a 2-hour daily bus journey).

The long-term aim is to gradually reintegrate her into school, beginning with short morning sessions as her condition improves.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months’ experience working within education
• Based in the UK
• Experience supporting students with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
