About the School

We are working in collaboration with a reputable and inclusive primary school in the Bolton area, which is seeking to appoint a capable and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026.

The school is known for its strong leadership team, positive working environment, and commitment to raising standards of achievement for all pupils. Staff are supported to deliver high-quality teaching within a structured yet engaging setting that promotes academic success alongside personal development.

The Role

This position will involve full class teacher responsibilities within Key Stage 2, including planning, assessment, and the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum. You will be expected to contribute to a purposeful learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop independence, resilience, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons in accordance with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate pupil progress, using data to inform future teaching
  • Maintain a well-managed classroom environment with clear expectations for behaviour
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Support pupils’ academic achievement as well as their social and emotional development
  • Engage with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective instructional practice
  • Possess confident classroom management skills
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and raising standards
  • Work effectively as part of a wider school team

Essential Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two satisfactory references relating to working with children
