KS1 Tutor needed !

We are currently seeking a patient and nurturing 1:1 tutor to support a young learner in the DT5 area with Maths and English.

The young person is in Year 2 but currently working at a Year 1 level, and requires a highly personalised, low‑pressure approach due to SEMH and additional needs.

About the role:

• Deliver 2 hours per week (1 hour Maths, 1 hour English)
• Sessions to take place in the afternoon, following school attendance in the morning
• Potential to increase hours over time, depending on engagement
• Focus on building confidence, engagement, and emotional regulation alongside learning
• Support a young person who is not yet able to access a full school day

The ideal tutor will:

• Have at least 6 months’ experience within a UK education setting
• Have experience (or strong understanding) of SEMH needs
• Be confident delivering KS1 Maths and English (around Year 1 level)
• Be patient, adaptable, and nurturing, able to adjust sessions based on emotional readiness
• Focus on relationship building and engagement before academic demand

What we offer:

• £25-£30 per hour
