About the School

We are working in partnership with a well-established and inclusive primary school in the Bolton area that is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026.

The school is recognised for its supportive leadership, welcoming environment, and dedication to providing high-quality education. Staff collaborate effectively to create a structured and engaging setting where younger pupils are encouraged to build strong foundations in their learning, develop confidence, and foster a positive attitude towards education.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at an important stage in their educational development, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.

This long-term temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team, with the potential for extension based on performance and school needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment with clear expectations
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience within Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic in their approach
  • Possess effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be adaptable and committed to supporting all learners

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references relating to working with children
