About the job

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to work in a small, welcoming primary school in Salford. The position is to support teaching and learning, based in Year 4, working with groups and individuals to assist in their academic development. The position is to begin as soon as possible in September and is to cover the full academic year.

The school has high expectations for the children, and staff work hard to ensure that every child receives the provision they need to reach their potential. Both experienced staff and those with a recent qualification are welcome to apply.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be:

• Experienced within Key Stage 2
• Confident supporting learning in Maths and English
• Able to make independent assessment of progress and record data
• Approachable, calm and a good team player
• Available long-term

The successful Teaching Assistant will have the following:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification relating to supporting teaching and learning in schools
• UK classroom experience
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• References covering the last 12 months
• A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service, or be prepared to process a new one at a cost of £45.80
