A popular school located in Islington, Inner London is interested in securing a History and Politics teaching job starting this SEPTEMBER 2022 The ideal History and Politics teacher will be qualified, have a degree related to Business and Economics, and knowledge of the National Curriculum.
The school is interested in appointing a History and Politics teacher to join a thriving and dynamic department in September 2021. The ideal History and Politics teacher would be joining a small but well-resourced department and be required to deliver lessons to GCSE and A’level.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND HISTORY AND POLITICS TEACHER CONTRACT:
• A medium-size secondary school
• An Ofsted rated ‘good’ school
• History and Politics taught at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 if you want to teach KS5
• Edexcel GCSE Business
• Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery, and assessment
• This is a full-time position including planning and marking
• Interviewing ASAP
THE RIGHT HISTORY AND POLITICS SPECIALIST WILL BE:
• Hold a BA and PGCE in History and Politics
• Confident with teaching GCSE
• Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
THE SUCCESSFUL HISTORY AND POLITICS TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
•Exceptional degree and GCSEs
•UK classroom teaching experience
•Eligibility to work in the UK
•Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
•A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
•Salary paid to scale – teachers’ pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependent on experience
Behaviour at the school is good, well managed and students value their education. The school provides pastoral responsibilities to staff and a range of CPD sessions. The school does provide education for students of all abilities therefore creating differentiated, engaging lessons are vital.
