The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support secondary-aged students across Knowsley through personalised 1:1 tuition.

You’ll help learners prepare for their GCSE examinations by delivering engaging lessons that strengthen subject knowledge, improve confidence and close learning gaps. Every tuition programme is tailored to the needs of the individual student.

Position Details

* Location: Knowsley
* Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

* Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
* QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
* Excellent curriculum knowledge
* Strong communication and organisational skills

To be eligible, you must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Provide two professional child-related references
